City of Solvang Survey & Virtual Meeting

The City of Solvang is exploring whether a Downtown Business & Property-Based Improvement District could be a helpful tool to support downtown priorities. Before any decisions are made, we want to hear directly from the people who live, work, and invest here.

Your input will help determine:

- Whether there is interest in an Improvement District

- What priorities matter most to the downtown community

- How any future proposal should (or should not) move forward

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey

You’re also invited to a virtual community meeting on January 27 at 1:00 PM

A Wine Festival like no other!

See the production facility, taste the wines, meet the winemakers!

Celebrate in style with wine, music, and food!

Join us at the Easy Street Wine Collective - a unique custom crush facility where top Santa Barbara County winemakers come together to share space and equipment, and, more importantly, their passion, expertise, and camaraderie.

These wines are made with dedication, one barrel at a time. Discover the stories, techniques, and inspiration behind each bottle as the winemakers themselves take you through tastings in the very space where the magic happens.

Chef Melissa from Clean Slate will ensure you’re well-fed, and there will be live music to set the mood and add to the fun. This isn’t your typical wine festival; it’s a celebration of community, craft, and character.

Sips & SHE-Nanigans

A sassy Soirée with wine, snacks, love and hilarity!

Bold, playful, and full of spirit — Sips & SHE-Nanigans is an evening where laughter flows as easily as the wine. Part tasting, part party, this event brings together incredible women of wine and food for a night of connection, storytelling, and unforgettable fun — all in support of WWCF’s mission.

Following WWCF tradition, this year we are honoring a woman who has quietly and steadfastly helped all winemakers ensure that grapes get to wineries - on time. Judy Adams is our 2026 "Cape and Crown" winner.  After stories and this presentation, you'll be treated to hilarity from some incredible comedians (lineup to be announced soon!)

Elverhoj Exhibit - Opening Reception

Elverhoj Exhibit - Opening Reception

Snapshots: Traveling with H.C. Andersen opens this weekend. The show features paintings and hand-colored copper etchings by internationally exhibited Danish artist Susanne Thea.

Opening reception admission is free with light refreshments.

About the Show: Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s visionary words, “In thousands of years they will come on wings of steam…”, the exhibition connects the poet’s nineteenth-century era of exploration with today’s digital age. Thea’s work grew from Andersen’s travelogue A Poet’s Bazaar (1842), which chronicles his eight-month journey through Europe and the Mediterranean. More than 180 years later, Thea followed his route using Google, allowing her to visit every location described in the book through a process she calls mind-traveling, moving across time through imagination, research, and artistic interpretation.

Translating Andersen’s written experiences into visual form, Thea immersed herself in his diaries, fairy tales, paper cuttings, and the art, music, and philosophy referenced in his writings. The resulting hand-colored copper etchings, many measuring 20 x 20 centimeters, invite intimate viewing. Inspired by Andersen’s paper cuttings of women, Thea often tells these stories within the skirts of female figures, transforming garments into landscapes and narrative spaces that encourage viewers to explore and travel alongside poet and artist alike.

A multi-course, deliciously wine-paired plant-based feast!

What happens when two chefs and three winemakers join a Board to create a Foundation to give back to the local community? First, they fundraise for their own non-profit to kickstart the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation. Sunday Suppers evoke gathering around a table for comfort food, good conversation, and delicious wine and you’re invited! Chef Brooke Stockwell and cookbook author and culinary tastemaker Anna Vocino will be creating a three-course vegetarian-based meal complemented by wines from Alma Rosa, Lavender Oak and Native Bloom Winery.

Expect deliciousness, hilarity, and joy throughout the evening in Karen’s restored barn.

Limited to 50 guests, all net proceeds will help the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation get set for the annual Celebration during International Women’s Day weekend, March 6-7.
