This year's theme is "lead with love" - today's climate demands a bold and brave kind of love that requires action. It will ask us to stand up for all members of our community, especially our trans and immigrant neighbors. It will require that we act with kindness in the face of adversity and that we garner strength and hope through community. It will empower us to create safe spaces where folx can be unapologetically be themselves and know that they belong.

The Storytellers

Bluegrass, Country Blues, Folk Music

Sun, Jul 13th, 2025 at 3:00 pm

Doors open at 2:30pm - Open seating

The Storytellers is a prominent progressive bluegrass band that has established itself as a creative force in the Southern California Roots Music scene.

They draw from the rich canon of traditional bluegrass, country blues, old-time and folk music as a basis for inspired improvisations and intrepid vocal harmonies. Their strong musical chemistry allows them to bring soulful harmonies, delicate acoustic sensibilities, soaring grooves, tight rhythms, substantive storytelling, and their own bluegrassy magic to every stage they stand on.

The Storytellers has performed at numerous bluegrass festivals, music festivals, and other regional fairs and festivals. The band performed a year-long residency at Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and in 2023 became the first bluegrass band to perform on NAMM’s premier stage. They will be headlining the prestigious Prescott Bluegrass Festival in June 2024.

PCPA - Something's Rotten!

Join the Bottom Brothers on a riotous quest to outshine Shakespeare in this uproariously entertaining musical romp.  Something Rotten blends sixteenth-century wit with twenty-first-century Broadway flair to prove that stardom requires kicking up your heels and staying true to yourself.

Embark on a riotous journey as two brothers, Nick and Nigel Bottom, aim to pen the world's first musical and just maybe outshine the Renaissance rockstar known as the bard.  But along the way, the Bottom Brothers realize that stardom ultimately requires kicking up their heels and being true to thine own self. Something Rotten blends sixteenth-century Shakespearean wit with twenty-first-century Broadway flair in this uproariously entertaining romp. Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick and screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Something Rotten was hailed by Time Out New York as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years," proving there’s “nothing’s as amazing as a musical.”

Book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell

Soul Majestic

Roots Reggae

Sun, Aug 24th, 2025 at 3:00 pm

Doors open at 2:30pm - Open seating

Originated on the sandy shores of California, Soul Majestic channels their sunny beach days and bonfire nights into their unique style of reggae music. Look beyond their laid-back vibe, and you’ll find they are ever pushing the boundaries of the genre with an edge that cuts through the smoky haze. Their music blends a deep commitment to roots reggae with a love of hip-hop, R&B/Soul, psychedelic rock, pop and folk music. It’s a new twist on familiar reggae sounds, with conscious, heartfelt, and socially relevant yet timeless messages. Their signature vocal sound features male and female singers trading melodies and soaring harmonies, laced with edgy, crowd hyping dancehall verses and memorable hooks. Epic lead guitar solos wail over a wide range of tight danceable beats, rock flourishes, and heavy-dub interludes that will captivate and move you to dance.

Doublewide Kings

70's Rock, Americana and Country-Blues

Sun, Jun 8th, 2025 at 3:00 pm

Doors open at 2:30pm - Open seating

Six fairly nice guys - one big mean sound

The Santa Barbara-based Doublewide Kings play a uniquely tweaked blend of original music and cover tunes that brings new passion to the familiar pleasures of roots-rock, Americana, country-blues, and the glory days of ‘70s FM radio.

With sommelier-like precision, these every-day Joes have cobbled together a repertoire that combines the deepest and most rewarding of old vine cuts with their own tasty, freshly-pressed songs, and the heady result is that, in the hands of the Kings, rock’n’roll once again feels urgent, exhilarating, and above all, fun.

From shimmering harmonies and delicate acoustic work to soaring guitar solos and big, bottom-swaying grooves, the Doublewide Kings bring their own crafty magic to every stage they step on, and they don’t quit until band and audience have become one happy, sweaty, satisfied tribe.

If you miss the soul-edifying thrill of live, bold rock’n’roll, the Kings are ready to light you up again. If you’ve never experienced that particular thrill, the Kings would be honored to show you how it’s done.

Pablo Cruise Concert - Solvang Theaterfest

Pablo Cruise Concert - Solvang Theaterfest

This Saturday we have the dynamic lineup of Out Of The Blue opening for Pablo Cruise which means you can treat yourself to some classic rock favorites from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and then settle in for the elegant and infectious vibes of Pablo Cruise!

In 1975 Pablo Cruise released its first A&M album simply entitled Pablo Cruise. The album cover was shot in the tropical gardens of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and it featured a huge gorilla standing front and center. The band were no where in sight. At that point there was a bit of a mystique surrounding Pablo Cruise, and when asked what Pablo Cruise meant, the well-rehearsed answer went something like this:

“Pablo”, represents an honest, real, down to earth individual, and “Cruise” depicts his fun loving, easy going attitude towards life: In essence that’s what Pablo Cruise music is all about. Honest, real down to earth vocals, accompanied by fun yet elegant, infectious grooves. To hear Pablo Cruise on record is one thing, but to experience the band live is an exhilarating event!

From 1975 to 1985 the band toured the United States, Canada and Japan extensively, welcoming fans to “Climb Aboard The Good Ship Pablo Cruise.” Reaching the top 10 with mega hits like “Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye?” and “Love Will Find A Way,”and several other top 20’s, the band went on to sell several million albums and singles collectively and established themselves as well respected writers and performers within the industry. They appeared on numerous TV shows, including Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, The Merv Griffin Show, The Dinah Shore Hour and in 1979 they broke Elvis Presley’s attendance record at the Sahara Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, becoming the first rock band to play a casino showroom. They also became the first rock band to grace the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, but by 1985 after completing several national tours and releasing 7 studio albums in all, the band decided to take a hiatus……one that lasted nearly 20 years.

Fast forward 20 years…. In 2005 a reunited Pablo Cruise picked up where they left off and today the band performs all over the U.S. and Canada and they’re enjoying it more than ever… Since getting back together, they have released two live CD’s and a DVD all through Sony Music documenting their exceptional live shows.
