After a very short (15 minutes) business meeting, our guest speaker will be Lynn Lavayen, speaking about her Firewise Community, located off Fredensborg Canyon Rd. The Southern California fires last year were devastating and gave pause for deeper thought regarding our area. Lynn will share her experiences of how, what she thought was a simple question about her private fire hydrant, opened a path to learning about fire safety and preparedness. A Firewise community is a neighborhood that participates in the voluntary Firewise USA® program from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to reduce wildfire risks.
