On Saturday, May 23 and on Sunday, May 24, VFW Post 7139 members will distribute red poppies —
a symbol first used after World War I to honor the fallen — in front of Albertsons in Buellton from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice and remembrance for fallen military service members.
