The reason we’re so excited to present “An Evening with Gerald DiPego” (this Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Maverick Saloon in Santa Ynez, Calif.) is because Jerry is so excited about it, believing that this is one of the best-spoken word presentations he has ever given (and as those of us who have attended these unique events know, there have been some great ones!)

We are gathering to celebrate the release of Jerry’s new novel, “Remote,” which will be on sale at the event (credit card payment only.)

We asked pianist Matt McCarrin to perform instrumental pieces before Jerry’s reading, to help set the vibe in the room. Matt immediately came up with the brilliant idea of playing songs and music from the soundtracks of films Jerry wrote (including “Phenomenon,” “Message in a Bottle,” “Instinct,” “Angel Eyes,” and more.)

Our doors open at 5:30 p.m., which is when the music starts. Jerry will start at 7.
