This year's theme "Salute to America 250," recognizing the nation's 250th anniversary.

The day begins with the Solvang Rotary Club's annual Fourth of July Parade at 10 a.m. through downtown Solvang.

The parade will feature classic cars, equestrian groups, dance teams, marching bands and community floats representing organizations and businesses from throughout the Santa Ynez Valley. Festivities will continue from noon to 10 p.m. at Old Mission Santa Inés, where the Santa Ynez Valley Rotary Club will host its annual Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks Show. Organizers expect one of the largest turnouts in the event's history.

The festival will feature more than 20 food and merchant vendors, a children's activity area, live entertainment and a food court showcasing Central Coast food trucks. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

Admission to the festival is $15 for adults. Children ages 12 and younger will be admitted free with a paying adult. Active-duty military personnel and their immediate families, up to four people, will receive free admission with valid military identification.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as parking will not be available on-site. Additional information about the celebration, parade participation and festival tickets is available through the Solvang Rotary Club.
